Potluck & Spreading Wings
It has been an eventful two weeks!
Thank you to our friends at GE Aviation in Grand Rapids, MI for selecting our team as beneficiary for the annual Diversity Council Potluck. Through the generosity of the volunteers, chefs, and guests they donated over $2,000 to our mission. Thank you GE Aviation!
As you all know, our Co-founder/President/CEO, Mike, underwent surgery for a brain tumor in 2014. He has been a pilot for 30 years, but the effects of his brain tumor medically disqualified him from flying. No longer! After over 5 years and with never-ending encouragement from friends and family, he again took to the air as Pilot in Command last weekend. With high emotion, Mike took his first steps toward renewing his flying qualifications and looks forward to adding his flying skills to other volunteer pilots to help those in need of medical airlift. Thank you God for providing healing and strength.
Thank you to all who provide such incredible support to our team as we continue to work toward acquiring an aircraft to help wonderful organizations like Wings of Mercy and Veterans Airlift Command. Together, with your donations of time and gifts, we will do great things and help many.
